what have you tried tuning wise ?
As in where are your carb settings? Specifically the Low Speed adjustment needle ?
also cheque the metering height on carb ?

Not certain where in PA you lot are, but there are some very good and knowledgeable members in PA that could assist you out and help yous brand it go faster!
Could be fuel, carb could need a kit. Is the saw new, used? Did you pull the muffler and check the piston? Lots of questions to be answered in order to help diagnose the event.

What are you considering the normal beginning routine? Are y'all using the decomp? Like other guys accept said, is information technology new and what are the carb settings? I have had a few saws that were on the edge for starting with a decomp, if I used it they wouldn't start easily and they had 150-160psi compression

Aye, i put a dual port muf and a max air flow filter on her. they have it tuned rich from the dealer, cuz that is what stihl recommends for the 3 tank break in. i judge

yes brand new. my starting process, one) push button in decomp, 2) put in full choke, 3) pull cord 2x(it will popular) four) move to one-half asphyxiate and information technology floods

yep brand new saw. i know the dealer tuned it rich for the break in period, i did put a dual port muf and max air flow filter on information technology. and unburnt fuel is coming out the muffler. didnt know if this saw has carb limiters on it?

Do you lot have access to a tach? Check the idle rpm.
Maybe next time try but 1 pull while on choke??? Then movement it to fast idle.

Hi and welcome.
Generally, making whatsoever changes to the frazzle and intake, will require a re-tune of the carb on almost all saws. When you say tuned rich for the break-in, was that before or after the mods? If it was earlier, you need to become your needles gear up correct. More than than likely, the L screw is a little off for the mods.

This is a decent vid to prove where to beginning on the adjustments for a saw, given all other parts are up to par. Since the saw is new, I'm guessing it'due south all you need.

i messed with the low speed, turned information technology in , out then back to what sounded practiced by ear. not sure what you mean past metering height on carb?

It is inside the carb plate. Controls the needle valve inlet. Open as well much, floods, open as well piffling, runs lean.

Plough the low jet in ane/viii plough and effort starting. If it however has a problem turn it another 1/viii turn and endeavor again.
